Tahiyya

I am honored to be here to help you through your challenging times so that you can have a life of positive connection and healthier ways of relating.

But first let’s answer a few questions you may have…

What is an integrative experiential relationship and sex therapist?

An experiential relationship and sex therapist is a therapist that uses expressive tools and activities to help the client or clients reenact or recreate experiences from past and present situations that are causing distress. The goal is to help one focus on the experience while understanding the emotions and gain awareness. Through awareness you are able to tap into some resolution. And this work is done through an integrative lens where different complementary and alternative modalities are incorporated in the experiences.

I use an integrative experiential approach to help you grasp understanding of the root of the issue, then move into some feelings for awareness, and then into some resolution by identifying what you or your partner need to increase life, relationship, and sexual satisfaction. Next we move it from the couch to applying the skills outside in the world or bedroom.

We feel, heal, and deal.

We don’t just talk, we feel, we heal, we deal.

What is codependency?

Codependency is one of my areas of practice. Codependency is how one relates to others to receive what they need. This emotional need can be in the form of acceptance, support, love, safety, etc. Codependency is one sided and often termed as relationship addiction. Recovering from codependency takes time and trusting in the process. There is unlearning old beliefs and narratives about yourself and the world and returning to honoring you.

I also work with women and couples in navigating relationships, intimacy, sex, sensuality and practice integrative mental wellness

I provide a place of SAFETY, judgement free, shame free, and blame free for my clients. I use listening to activate change. I do not tell you what to do! You are the expert of your life that will run into your own truth. I’m just a guide.
